Comscape, founded in 1999 by friends Dave Saenz and Markk Gonzales, was created with a vision of providing wireless communication technology to both consumers and businesses. They met while working together for Nextel Communications, selling phones B2B and managing sales teams. There they gained experience running sales teams and discovered a shared passion for entrepreneurship.
Initially, Comscape sold Nextel phones exclusively and became one of the company’s top “Master Agents.” From 1999 to 2006, Comscape enjoyed tremendous success during the burgeoning growth years of the wireless telephone industry. In 2004, Comscape was ready to diversify and decided to leverage its proprietary marketing technologies and unrelenting passion for customer satisfaction to align with DIRECTV. Comscape quickly became one of DIRECTV’s most valued distribution partners, and in 2007 was awarded DIRECTV’s “Commercial Dealer of the Year” award.
